About Me: CV

ABOUT ME

I am an experienced multimedia and video producer and journalist with a strong background in news and the creative industries, delivering impactful multimedia projects primarily using Adobe Creative Suite.

Over three years at Bloomberg QuickTake and five years with Guardian News & Media, I worked as a producer and editor, collaborating with and managing freelancers to create short, compelling documentaries. My work ranged from in-depth mini-documentaries to innovative news explainers designed to bring complex global stories to life for diverse audiences.

Prior to that, I gained experience in broadcast and radio at Sky News, contributing to the flagship Sunday politics programme Murnaghan, and at Monocle 24 Radio, where I honed my storytelling skills across both audio and visual formats.

At The Guardian, I contributed to several major investigations, including coverage of the Cambridge Analytica scandal. This formed part of my broader experience producing explainers, features and social-first video content for platforms such as YouTube, X/Twitter and Instagram.

I have worked across the full production cycle with diverse international teams, covering everything from pre-production, logistics and budgeting to scripting, post-production and grading. I specialise in tailoring content for digital platforms to ensure it connects with audiences.

My key interests include climate storytelling, mental health and Eastern Europe and Russia. While at Fathm, I worked with the World Health Organization to create educational video content for social media, countering misinformation and supporting public health campaigns.

I currently lead video production at Syli, where I focus on climate storytelling in collaboration with journalists in Zimbabwe, South Africa, the Philippines and Vietnam. I take pride in working with international teams to deliver authentic, solutions-focused content on some of the world’s most urgent challenges. This includes an editorial residency in Malaysia with The Star, where I advised on integrating climate into newsroom workflows to support sustainable storytelling.

I hold a Master of Arts in English with a specialisation in Criticism and Theory from the University of Exeter, which has shaped my ability to craft thoughtful, compelling narratives. Examples of my work are available in my portfolio.
